NEW DELHI: Airtel is one telecom operator which is giving tough competition to Reliance Jio. The telco has been revamping its prepaid and postpaid plans in order to retain the existing users and also to attract the new ones.
After reviewing the ongoing plans the service provider has now introduced a new entry-level plan for its subscribers. The operator has rolled out a Rs 9 plan. Under the plan, the service provider is giving unlimited local, STD and roaming calls along with 100 SMS. The plan comes with a validity of one day. Along with the above mentioned benefits, the pack will also offer 100MB of data.
The Rs 9 plan from Airtel will compete against the Rs 19 plan from Reliance Jio. Under the Rs 19 plan, Reliance Jio is giving 20SMS and 150MB 4G data for a day with unlimited local and STD calls.
Airtel also offers a Rs 23 plan which offers unlimited local and STD calls with 200MB 4G data and 100 SMS for the validity of two days.
Earlier this week, Airtel revised its Rs 93 prepaid plan. After revision, the Rs 93 plan from Airtel offers ‘unlimited local/STD calls’, free roaming, 100 SMS per day and 1GB data for 28 days.
Earlier, the same plan used to offer unlimited calls (local, STD, and roaming calls), 1GB 3G/ 4G data, and 100 SMS per day with 10 days validity.
The Rs 93 plan from Airtel will compete against the Rs 98 plan from Reliance Jio. The Rs 98 plan from Jio gives the benefit of unlimited local and STD calling, 300 SMS and 2GB data. The plan is valid for the period of 28 days.
